Note which list is longer... by and large trials do not make money, but they can certainly break even (sometimes with a bit of seed money left over), if managed correctly. While breaking even is usually the standard goal, those that own plenty of cattle and a ranch or facility suitable to host a trial, could make a buck or two, if all goes well.
